Pharmacy-Cosmetics & Dermatology

The overall objective is cosmetics and dermatological applications of Hemp and hemp derived products that could improve human health by mitigating conditions such as inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer and by promoting healthy aging. Potential hemp research topics might include:

  • Mechanisms of Cell development from stem cells and responses to environmental exposure (e.g. solar UV).
  • Skin lipid metabolism control in diseases (e.g. atopic dermatitis and psoriasis) and aging.
  • Signaling in melanoma tumors microenvironment and host-immune response.
  • Screening and validation of bioactive natural compounds for disease prevention and therapeutic interventions.
